The Social Services Department's mission is to work with social services and provide support, so that everyone in the municipality feels safe and has the same opportunities in life. The Workplace

Smygehem is a residential facility with 52 apartments distributed across six units. The facility is located on one level and is surrounded by a large and pleasant garden where both tenants and employees can enjoy all seasons of the year.

We have spacious common areas where activities and social interaction create a sense of community among all units. At Smygehem, we work with the aim that our tenants experience safety, comfort, and high quality in their daily lives. Our work is characterized by respect for each individual's self-determination, participation, and personal wishes.

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant at Smygehem, you work with care and service measures for our tenants. You have the opportunity to work in one of the most meaningful and rewarding professions – contributing to a safe, dignified, and content-rich daily life for older people.

In this role, you combine professional care with good treatment and an understanding of people's different needs, conditions, and feelings. You work closely with the tenants and are an important part of creating quality of life and well-being.

The work also includes certain health and medical care tasks after delegation from nurses and rehabilitation staff. As an employee with us, you are an important part of the quality and development that characterizes care and nursing in Trelleborg Municipality.

Documentation is an important part of the work. Measures are planned, documented, and followed up in our operational system, which means you need to be careful and feel confident with digital documentation.

Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have nursing education or other education that the employer considers equivalent for work within elderly care.

It is meritorious if you have education and/or experience working with people with dementia. You need to have good computer skills and be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.

As a person, you are engaged, responsible, and reliable. You have good cooperation skills, a genuine interest in older people, and the ability to remain calm even in stressful situations. You see opportunities rather than obstacles and find it easy to create and maintain good relationships with tenants, relatives, and colleagues.

For us, good dialogue with relatives is an important part of the operation, and we work actively together to create safety and participation.

In the work, you collaborate with several different professional groups, including nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, as well as external partners. You are service-oriented and have an interest in strengthening and preserving health and wellness in each individual.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Smygehem is located in Smygehamn, where access to public transport is limited. Therefore, you need to have a driver's license and access to a car or other suitable means of transport.

Trelleborg Municipality has full-time work as the norm, which means that all employees have the right to a full-time employment. The temporary position covers 100 percent, but there is an opportunity to request a lower degree of employment.

The employer will request an extract from the criminal record register prior to employment.
