School Nurse in Östra Göinge Municipality

We are now looking for a School Nurse for Kviingeskolan and Västerskolan.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Operations Manager for the medical component of student health services. As a school nurse, you work to promote health and prevent illness at the organizational, group, and individual levels, contributing to creating environments where students can develop, feel well, and succeed in their learning.

Responsibilities

As a school nurse, you will play a central role in the students' daily lives and have the opportunity to make a real difference. Your daily work includes, among other things:

• Health examinations and health conversations
• Vaccinations
• Open clinic/reception
• Health education
• Collaboration with student health professionals

You will also collaborate with school psychologists, special educators, the municipality's other school nurses, and school doctors. The role involves contact with guardians, teachers, school staff, and external actors.

Your workplace will be at Kviingeskolan in Hanaskog (Grades 1-6) and Västerskolan in Knislinge (Grades 1-3). Both schools are located in nature-friendly environments that are actively used in teaching and after-school activities. You are part of the student health team and contribute to the school's development work with a clear health-promoting perspective.

Qualifications

You are a registered nurse with postgraduate education in healthcare for children and adolescents, open healthcare/district nurse, or school nursing education.

We are looking for someone with a strong drive for health-promoting work who thrives in a team environment. Experience as a school nurse and working with children and adolescents is meritorious, as is good knowledge of the Swedish school system. You have good digital competence and use technology as a natural tool in your work. Experience with different medical record systems is an advantage.

To succeed in the role, you must be able to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have good collaboration skills, take responsibility, and work carefully and systematically.

Personal suitability is given great weight.

The person offered the position must provide a certificate of no criminal record (extract from the police register).

A Class B driver's license is required as travel within the municipality is part of the job.
