We are looking for a Project Manager for the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket).

This is a consulting assignment.

Location: Choice between the Transport Administration's offices in Storlien, Åre, or Östersund.

Employment level: 25–40 % of full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork skills.

The Assignment

The role involves leading the completion and implementation of railway and infrastructure projects in Storlien, Åre, and Östersund. The assignment includes responsibility for the project's content, quality, economy, schedule, safety, and coordination from project execution to contract signing, execution, and inspection. The consultant works in close cooperation with the client and contributes technical advice as well as knowledge transfer to the Transport Administration's employees.

Responsibilities

• Ensure content, quality, safety, working environment, and environmental standards.
• Prepare necessary time-bound activities and detailed plans for the project in collaboration with other project management resources.
• Prepare estimates and budgets according to established procedures for the project.
• Be responsible for drafting necessary contracts with external stakeholders and interested parties.
• Ensure that necessary operational meetings are held. Examples include construction meetings, economic meetings, technical meetings, and design meetings. These should be held frequently, be well-prepared with pre-drafted minutes, and aim to conclude meetings efficiently (approx. 15 minutes).
• Lead periodic project meetings.
• Perform work in collaboration and under the direction of the client, including construction projects for storage facilities and ensuring shell protection.
• Monitor and drive the project regarding time, cost, and content, prioritizing goal achievement over schedule. This means working with a focus on activities and prepared activity planning.
• Ensure that norms, infrastructure requirements, and regulations (general or client-specific) are followed by the designer and/or contractor.
• Provide technical advice.
• Transfer knowledge to employees at the Transport Administration regarding the tasks performed by the resource consultant for the Transport Administration.

Requirements (OBS, mandatory)

• Fluent in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience from working in project groups where coordination was a key factor.
• Valid B-class driver's license.
• At least 3 years of work experience as a project manager/deputy project manager within the relevant technical field (Project Manager General Railway). The experience must not be older than 10 years.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations as well as standards and directives within the relevant area.
• Completed BAS-ÄSKYDD (Safety and Health Coordinator) training.
• Requirement of at least 3 years of work experience as a project manager in infrastructure where the coordination function was a significant part of the assignment.
• Completed training to function as the Client's Construction Work Environment Coordinator, BAS-P and BAS-U.
• Completed the course "Work on Road – Basic" within the last 5 years.
