Land Surveyor/Engineer at Härjeåns – Build Future Energy Solutions
HÄRJEÅNS KRAFT AKTIEBOLAGJämtlands län, Härjedalen
Previous experience is desired
Härjeåns is a comprehensive provider of energy solutions, including electricity and fiber networks as well as electricity trading. Our operational area can be symbolized by 700 miles of power lines. We are now looking for a Land Surveyor/Engineer who wants to contribute to the energy solutions of the future.
About the Job
As a Land Surveyor/Engineer at our company, you will become an important part of the Operations & Maintenance department, working with land and property issues across the entire group. You will contribute to ensuring our electricity and fiber networks have the necessary legal land rights, through work with easements, servitudes, and other agreements. The role covers the entire process regarding land access – from valuation and dialogue with landowners to agreements, compensation, and follow-up. You will also be involved in contract work for new line installations, handling land rights issues and disputes, and working on the company's concessions and permits. You will participate in project and development meetings and have a varied workday with many contact points. Through collaboration with landowners, municipalities, authorities, and internal colleagues, you will act as a support in land rights matters and contribute to smooth and sustainable planning.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who enjoys land and property issues and has an interest in developing within the field. You are meticulous, take responsibility for your work, and have a solution-oriented approach.
Since the role involves many contacts both within and outside of Härjeåns, you need to be an empathetic and communicative team player while also being able to work independently. You are engaged and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment by willingly sharing both knowledge and experiences. We know that the best energy solutions arise in teams where diversity and different perspectives are encouraged, and we actively work for a culture where everyone can develop and thrive. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds, interests, and experiences.
Qualifications
We prefer that you have a university education in the field, for example as a Land Surveyor, Land Engineer, or equivalent. We also view positively experience with practical work with land and properties from, for example, forestry companies, energy companies, municipalities, or similar operations. Another advantage is if you have work experience with line access, consultations, and negotiations. Since you, in the role of Land Surveyor/Engineer, have a large network, you need to enjoy communicating well both verbally and in writing, and you must also have computer skills and a valid driver's license (Category B).
What do we offer you?
We offer you an interesting job in a highly relevant energy sector where we invest heavily in both competence development and a good work environment. Our Operations & Maintenance department supports everything from managing our own land, maintenance and creation of new utility corridors, management of the external environment around facilities, as well as cadastral and consultation matters. Below you will see some examples of what we do to ensure you thrive with us:
Competence Development
Härjeåns wants to be an attractive employer where we give you the opportunity to continuously take courses and participate in various networks. Härjeåns is a member of the industry organization Energiföretagen Sverige, which offers environmental scanning, technological development, training, and conferences with the aim of developing competence to meet future challenges.
Work-Life Balance
Time for recovery beyond the regular vacation is important; we offer a 45-hour workweek and 5 extra days spread throughout the year to add a little extra gold to long weekends.
Wellness
Health and movement have a central meaning in the benefits package we offer the group's employees. Within our wellness committee, we work to find activities that promote physical movement and mental health. Examples of wellness-promoting activities are massage, step competitions, and social gatherings. We also offer a wellness allowance to all employees.
Another benefit is our geographical location where we live and work close to nature. If you value having outdoor life around the corner, you will thrive. Read more about us as an employer.
Employment Terms
The position is a permanent full-time employment, and Härjeåns applies a 6-month probation period. Place of work and start date are by agreement.
Application
You send your application with CV and cover letter to [email protected] and mark your application with "Land Surveyor/Engineer". Selection and interviews will take place continuously, so do not wait to submit your application. The last day for applications is 2026-06-21.
