Hospitals West is a division within the Region of Västra Götaland and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Primary Hospital, Högsbo Primary Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3,000 employees work with us every day to provide good, safe, and high-quality specialist healthcare.

Angered Primary Hospital is the small hospital with the big mission. The Department of Surgery at Angered Primary Hospital is an organizational unit employing approximately 35 staff members who are responsible for the entire surgical process. Here, surgical coordinators, anesthesiologists, nurses, nursing assistants, and the unit manager work together with the patient in focus. At Angered Primary Hospital, there are four operating rooms and a pre- and post-operative unit well-adapted to the mission.

We treat patients within the fields of surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, and urology, both in our own operations and in collaboration with Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Operation Angered also has a major mission related to the insertion and removal of venous ports. Both children and adults are operated on with us.

Description

We are looking for you who are a nurse, preferably with specialist training in intensive care or alternatively another specialist training in the emergency care field.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for pre- and post-operative nursing care, where you work both independently and in a team to meet the patient's needs.

You follow the patient from admission to discharge, which makes the work both enjoyable and inspiring, and you get confirmation that you have done a good job.

Qualifications

• A nursing degree with a Swedish professional license is a requirement.
• Specialist training in intensive care and work experience in day surgery or pre-/post-operative care, as well as experience in caring for children in connection with surgery/anesthesia, are meritorious.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is a requirement. Additional language skills are seen as an advantage.

Personal qualities

You have a focus on nursing care, are meticulous, and prioritize patient safety. You are unpretentious, have an easy time building relationships, and thrive working in a team.

Conditions

The schedule is fixed and scheduled during weekdays daytime, with shifts where you start later and work until 17:00 or 18:00 approximately once a week.
