Description

Angered Primary Care Hospital is a small hospital with a large mission. The Surgical Department at Angered Primary Care Hospital is an organizational unit employing approximately 35 staff members who are responsible for the entire surgical process. Here, surgical coordinators, anesthesiologists, nurses, nursing assistants, and the unit manager work together with the patient in focus. At Angered Primary Care Hospital, there are four operating rooms and a pre- and post-operative unit well-adapted to the mission.

We treat patients in the fields of surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, and urology, both independently and in collaboration with Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Operation Angered also has a significant mission related to the insertion and removal of venous ports. Both children and adults are operated on with us.

We are looking for you who are an anesthetics nurse and want to work with day surgery, where you will meet both children and adults.

You will have a key role in perioperative nursing and perform common tasks included in the anesthetics nurse profession – preparing the patient for surgery, general anesthesia, or sedation, assisting with regional and local anesthesia, as well as post-operative care.

You work independently while being part of a team with the goal of meeting the patient's needs in an efficient day surgery flow.

Qualifications

• A nursing degree with Swedish professional licensure and specialist education in anesthetics care is required.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required. Additional language skills are seen as an advantage.
• Experience with day surgery flow, pediatric anesthesia, and post-operative care is meritorious.

Personal qualities

You have a focus on nursing, are meticulous, and prioritize patient safety. You are unpretentious, have an easy time building relationships, and thrive working in a team.

Conditions

The schedule is fixed and set for weekdays during daytime, with shifts where you start later approximately once a week and work until 17:00 or 18:00.
