Kungsängsgymnasiet in beautiful Sala is looking for an experienced and engaged English teacher. We preferably see that you also have the qualification to teach social studies, or at least English in combination with another subject.

About the workplace

Kungsängsgymnasiet is a modern upper secondary school with approximately 480 students. We offer eight national programs as well as the Introductory Program. Our goal is for every student to succeed, and for three years we have received support in our work from the Swedish National Agency for Education's initiative "Collaboration for the Best School".

Students feel safe and enjoy being at the school, which is reflected in our safety surveys, and we have a high proportion of qualified teachers. At our school, it is important that both students and staff are seen and that students receive the support they need. Job Responsibilities

As a teacher with us, you will teach English on the national programs. You will become part of an engaged team and collaborate closely with colleagues within the program and subject groups, as well as with the Student Health Team (EHT). You will belong to the program team for the Economics Program, and mentorship is included in the position.

We are looking for you who

• Have the qualifications, pedagogical experience, and ability to teach English and one additional subject at the upper secondary level. We preferably see that you also have the qualification to teach social studies at the upper secondary level.
• Have good collaboration skills with students, colleagues, and other staff.
• Are flexible, creative, and use ICT in teaching.
• Personal suitability is given great weight.

Qualifications

• Are a licensed teacher with qualifications in English for upper secondary school and one additional subject.
• Additional merits are given if you have the qualification to teach social studies at the upper secondary level.
• Good subject knowledge and a positive, inclusive approach.

Employment Terms

Individual salary setting

Start date: 2026-08-10 or as agreed

Requirement of a police certificate upon job offer. This according to the law on register control in school, leisure, and preschool activities. The Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register, RPS 442.5 (14-01-14)
