We are looking for more strategic buyers as we are experiencing significant growth.
About the Unit
The Swedish Armed Forces' procurement unit is located within the unit FMLOG (Swedish Armed Forces Logistics) and is responsible for the Armed Forces' procurements and purchases in accordance with current procurement legislation. The work we perform is crucial for the Armed Forces' supply as well as strategic and operational success. We work according to a defined category management methodology and continuously focus on competence development.
The procurement unit consists of seven departments geographically distributed across Sweden. We are now looking for several strategic buyers for our department "Operational Goods and Services," where we are responsible for the categories of vehicles, transport, logistics services as part of host nation support, and maintenance of military systems. - Be responsible for maintaining strong business relationships with your suppliers and ensuring continuous contract management and supplier follow-up.
- Build and develop strong relationships with our requesters and customers throughout the entire Swedish Armed Forces organization.
Qualifications
Properties required for the position include:
- An academic degree in law, economics, logistics, purchasing, or a related field, or a vocational education with a commercial focus and relevant work experience.
- At least three years of current experience in conducting procurements.
- Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Merits
It is an advantage if you have some or all of the following experience:
- Experience in category-managed purchasing.
- Experience with procurement regulations LOU/LUFS and contract law.
- Experience in commercial negotiations.
- Experience in project management or project work.
- Work in large, complex organizations.
- Work in organizations undergoing change.
Personal Attributes
We value a person who is structured, goal-oriented, stable, and solution-focused, as well as having the ability to bring people together and build strong relationships with your customers and stakeholders in a listening manner. You have a very good ability to independently plan, organize, and drive your work forward. You are resilient and take responsibility for delivering good results. The ability to analyze and see the big picture to meet the Swedish Armed Forces' purchasing needs is of great importance. It is important that you are a team player and value the team before the individual.
