Welcome to the Employment and Education Administration in Boden Municipality! Here, we have a consolidated responsibility for integration, employment, education, and employment issues affecting our municipality's residents. The administration is also responsible for the Cultural School, meal provision, and student health services. About Brönjaskolan

Brönjaskolan is a grades 7–9 school in Sävast, seven kilometers outside Boden center, with approximately 250 students. Brönjaskolan has three work teams organized by grade level and a well-developed and unit-anchored student health service. The student health team consists of a special education teacher, school speech therapist, study and career counselor, school counselor, and school nurse. Brönjaskolan also has a safety team consisting of a safety coordinator and safety resource person, who work actively to create relationships, safety, and study peace for our students. Our focus areas are increased goal fulfillment through higher student attendance and strengthened reading and writing skills in all school subjects. We have a good outdoor environment with a basketball court, football field, and sports hall, as well as the forest right on our doorstep.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for an engaged English and language choice teacher for Brönjaskolan. Your main teaching will be in English, but you will also lead groups in English during language choice time. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in accordance with current governing documents and contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for our students.

You are part of one of the school's work teams and collaborate closely with colleagues regarding students' knowledge development and well-being. The position also includes duties as a contact teacher for a group of students. In this role, you work actively to create the best conditions for students to develop, thrive, and feel safe in their schooling. You are expected to contribute to the school's development work and be an active part of the collegial learning at the school.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach English in grades 7–9. Qualifications in additional subjects are meritorious. Qualifications or experience teaching French is particularly meritorious.

We want you to be open to varying working methods, collaboration, and school development. You have good pedagogical insights and are well familiar with the school's governing documents and systematic quality work. Your pedagogical and social skills make it easy for you to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are skilled at creating safe and developmental learning environments where students are given the opportunity to reach as far as possible in their learning. You are accustomed to using digital tools in teaching and see digitalization as a natural part of the pedagogical work.
