About the School

Vargen is an independent primary school covering grades 4–9, located in Kiruna, on the Vasallen area. We are a relatively small school with a total of 156 students. We have high-quality teaching and high competence among our teachers. At our school, children are challenged and build their knowledge for the future. At our school, all students should feel seen and welcome, and given the best conditions to succeed in their schoolwork. We are now looking for teachers in Swedish/English/Social Studies or teachers in Math/Natural Sciences for our intermediate school (grades 4–6). Vargen runs camp activities with an autumn and a spring camp for all classes in our beautiful mountain world.

• Are driven by giving each student personal attention and creating a learning experience adapted to their unique needs.
• Are passionate about Swedish/English/Social Studies or Math/Natural Sciences and have solid subject knowledge.
• Have good collaboration skills and thrive working in teams.
• Have a reflective approach and actively work on developing your and the school's teaching methods.
• Plan, document, and conduct your teaching in accordance with our governing documents.
• Possess good communication skills and strive to create good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
• Are passionate about outdoor life and camp activities.

Qualifications

You have a teaching license and experience working in a school. You are responsible, positive, and have a solid interest in school and learning.
