About Hedens School

Hedens School is a primary school with approximately 230 students from preschool class up to grade 6. The school is located 6 km from central Boden, beautifully situated in Heden next to a small forest that is frequently used by the school. There are two classes in each grade level and two after-school center departments. For many years, the school has designed and upgraded the working environment for both students and educators. The focus has been on creating "rooms within rooms," so that the working environment can function as an extra educator for the students, be easy to change, and at the same time increase job satisfaction for both students and educators. The outdoor environment, the generous schoolyard, is also under constant development. The school has a well-functioning recess activity program with activities for the students.

We want to give our students the courage and competence to meet future opportunities and challenges. We believe that one learns from and with each other, in different situations and environments, and that social interaction is an important puzzle piece in learning. At the school, there is collegial learning where we utilize and share knowledge and experiences with each other. We actively work with participating in current research and development.

Responsibilities

As a recess educator or teacher for the after-school center, you are responsible for ensuring that teaching at the after-school center is conducted in accordance with the goals of the curriculum. Everyone in the work team shall promote all students' development and learning and offer each student secure care.

You are expected to collaborate with other staff at the school, which is important for enriching the students' learning. You have competence regarding democratic concepts and attitudes, as well as social competence. By implementing these competencies in the daily work at the after-school center, you contribute to the development of the after-school center.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who are trained as a recess educator or teacher with a focus on the after-school center. You who have 60 higher education credits in pedagogy or equivalent are also welcome to apply for this position.

• You who are trained as a recess educator/teacher for the after-school center will be employed in the position of recess educator and are responsible for teaching at the after-school center.
• You who have 60 higher education credits in pedagogy or equivalent will be employed in the position of resource educator for the after-school center.

As a recess educator/teacher for the after-school center, you have good pedagogical insights into children's differences, and you are well acquainted with the school's and after-school center's governing documents and systematic quality work.

We are looking for you who are clear and have good collaboration skills with a desire to share your knowledge and experiences. You have a good ability to create good relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians. You take care of the students' interests and develop them further through both practical and theoretical work during the student's entire day.

Employment Terms

Fixed-term employment during the period 2026-08-03 to 2026-12-31, with possible extension.

• Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
• Duration: 6 months or longer.
• Start date: 2026-08-03 or by agreement.
