We are part of the Thorax and Vascular Business Area at Skåne University Hospital (SUS). The Vascular Area includes three units: the inpatient Vascular Ward, Vascular Surgery, and the Vascular Clinic. We provide both vascular surgical and medical care for patients with various types of vascular diseases. Additionally, we are responsible for vascular care in the southwestern and central healthcare districts of Skåne, as well as highly specialized treatment of vascular diseases throughout the southern healthcare region. Although we are specialized and at the forefront, we are a smaller unit, which contributes to short decision-making paths and mutual trust.

The most common surgical conditions are carotid stenosis, aortic aneurysm, and claudication/critical ischemia, which are treated either with endovascular techniques, open surgery, or conservative treatment. The main medical diagnoses are pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis, and malignant hypertension.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties are varied and include ordering and unpacking medications, assortment management, maintenance of the medication supply, preparing medications for patients, and promoting good pharmaceutical economics.

In the role of Ward Pharmacist, you work with the supply, handling, and use of medications on the ward and at the hospital. You will be an important member of the team, which consists of both ward pharmacists and pharmacy assistants, working together to ensure quality and safety in pharmaceutical care.

Furthermore, you work on medication safety issues, such as training healthcare staff and developing routines and instructions.

The position is a temporary hourly employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you if you are a licensed pharmacy technician (receptarie) or a licensed pharmacist with authorization to work in Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at level C1 or higher according to the Council of Europe's scale is required.

We would appreciate if you have experience working in a pharmacy. Additionally, it is meritorious if you have experience working in a hospital pharmacy, providing pharmaceutical services to wards and clinics, and experience working within healthcare. It is also an advantage if you have experience working as a pharmacist within healthcare.
