The Business Area Barracuda develops, manufactures, and markets products and services within multispectral signature adaptation. Barracuda offers a wide range of customized products for increased survivability in the form of mobile, static, and personal camouflage. The customer base is worldwide, and the headquarters is located in Gamleby, which is also the location for this position.

Your Responsibilities As an operator in sewing, you will work in production where you and your colleagues manufacture customized products for increased survivability in the form of mobile, static, and personal camouflage. Your main tasks will involve sewing these products, and the sewing machine will be your closest work tool. You will also work with other tasks related to production and perform simple alterations.

The shift patterns in use are 2-shift.

Your Background/Personal Qualities For this position, it is an advantage if you have previous experience in the manufacturing industry. It will be meritorious if you possess skills in areas such as sewing and reading drawings. Experience we seek in sewing can come from previous work and/or practical knowledge related to sewing different types of garments or products with precision and skill.

Extensive experience in sewing may also involve being able to solve common problems that may arise during the sewing process and adapting to different challenges to produce high-quality end products. Experience in team leadership is meritorious.

In this role, it is important that you have the ability to communicate effectively in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. This is a quality of utmost importance to perform the tasks successfully. We are looking for you who have a high school diploma and a Category B driver's license. It is meritorious and desirable if you have also completed forklift and overhead crane training.

You are an easy-to-learn team player who understands the importance of how your own performance and attitude affect the whole group.

The position requires that you are approved according to the security clearance regulations in effect at any given time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
