We are looking for a Math/Science teacher (Grades F–6) for Sjulsmark School.

From preschool class to grade 6, our students grow in an environment that encourages them to think: I can – I want – I dare!

At our school, we have approximately 47 students and a teaching team of four people: one leisure-time pedagogue and two resource pedagogues.

At our school, the child is always at the center. We want everyone, both students and staff, to feel safe and seen, and to have the opportunity to develop to the fullest extent based on their own prerequisites. Together, we help every child pack the knowledge backpack needed for life's journey. Our operations are based on three prioritized areas: safety and study environment, accessible learning environments, and a strong focus on reading.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher primarily in grades 1–3, you are responsible for the planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching based on current governing documents. You contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where every student is given the opportunity to develop as far as possible.

The assignment includes, among other things:

• planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching within your subjects
• working with variation in teaching to meet students' different needs and prerequisites
• assessing and documenting students' knowledge development according to the curriculum
• collaborating with colleagues in work teams and subject groups regarding teaching and development work
• actively participating in the school's systematic quality work
• contributing to a good work climate and a positive learning environment in the classroom
• cooperating with student health services and other professions when necessary
• communicating with guardians regarding students' learning and well-being
• participating in conferences, meetings, and training related to the assignment

You are expected to be a clear leader in the classroom and contribute to the school's joint development through a professional and solution-focused approach.

The position involves a combination of own teaching responsibility, including mentorship.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher with the eligibility to teach grades F–3 or 4–6 in mathematics and science. It is an advantage if you can teach in more subjects.

We are looking for you who have good pedagogical insights and are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and systematic quality work. You are clear and have good collaboration skills with a desire to share knowledge and experiences. You are responsible, secure, have personal maturity, and can create good relationships with the students.

Employment Terms

Permanent employment at 100% starting 2026-08-12.

This is a vacation/term-time position.
