At Kristinehamn Municipality, we work every day to create the best possible conditions for our residents. We are now looking for a Business Controller who wants to be an important part of our development work. Here, you will combine analysis and structure with collaboration and business development – in a role where your work contributes to well-founded decisions and a sustainable municipal operation.
The Business Controller is located in the Municipal Management Administration and works closely with the municipal leadership, departments, and other key functions in the organization. The role has a municipality-wide perspective and contributes to creating a consolidated view of the operation's results and development.
The Municipal Management Administration also includes functions that work with development and change management. While these roles focus on driving development and implementing new ways of working, the Business Controller has a special responsibility for follow-up, analysis, and the steering perspective in the organization. The roles complement each other and together contribute to strengthening the municipality's ability to both monitor and develop operations for the future.
The Municipal Management Administration has its office in new, fresh premises in the town hall, centrally located at Södra Torget in Kristinehamn. The administration consists of approximately 110 employees distributed across the administrative department, HR department, digitalization department, planning department, and finance department. This position is located within the finance department.
Remote work is generally possible for one or a few days a week in this position.
As a Business Controller, your mission is to contribute to clear and effective steering of the municipality's operations through qualified analysis, follow-up, and development of the municipality's steering and follow-up processes.
You will support the municipal leadership and operations by creating a consolidated view of the municipality's results, goal achievement, and development needs, as well as contributing to well-founded decision-making materials for strategic priorities. Through your work, you contribute to strengthening the link between political goals, operational results, and resource utilization.
The assignment also includes contributing to developing the municipality's ability to use analysis and follow-up as a basis for strategic decisions and priorities.
We are looking for you who have a strong problem-solving analytical ability and enjoy identifying connections, drawing well-founded conclusions, and translating analyses into concrete improvement/decision proposals. You have a strategic approach and the ability to see the big picture while also being able to delve into details when the situation requires it.
To succeed in the role, you need to have good collaboration skills and enjoy building trusting relationships with managers, employees, and other partners. You also have pedagogical insight that allows you to convey complex information in a clear and accessible way, adapted to the recipient and context.
You work in a structured manner and plan, prioritize, and follow up on your work effectively. As a person, you are clear in your communication and create understanding and engagement regarding issues related to operational development and follow-up.
We value that you are proactive and see opportunities for development and improvement. At the same time, you are self-reliant and take responsibility for driving your work forward, from analysis and planning to implementation and follow-up. Through your engagement and drive, you contribute to developing operations and creating conditions for well-founded decisions and long-term results.
At Kristinehamn Municipality, we work for active leadership and employee engagement. This is created through dialogue and interaction between leaders and employees, which creates good conditions for job satisfaction in the organization. Our work environment is influenced by how we treat each other, and we all have a responsibility to contribute.
Together, we work to ensure that operations achieve their goals and that decisions made are also followed. A curious fundamental attitude and a willingness to collaborate are prerequisites for continuous improvements that lead to the best possible service for the municipality's residents.
As an employee here, you can expect support for new ideas, good development opportunities, and that we provide you with the tools you need to perform your work well.
Kristinehamn Municipality sees diversity as a strength and welcomes all applicants. Our competency-based recruitment methodology aims to focus on the individual's competence and thereby also counteract discrimination.
We warmly welcome your application!
