Due to upcoming retirements, we are now looking for an independent dental nurse who understands the importance of good service and a welcoming attitude.

We work in a delegated manner in a positive spirit where teamwork and development of the operations are natural elements. For us, it is important to stay updated; we find challenges and new thinking exciting.

Folktandvården Dalaberg has 14 treatment rooms and we have a total of 26 employees. The treatment panorama is very broad, and the patient count is over 9,000, many of whom are children and young adults. Many patients want to come to us, and we are in the process of expanding our operations. Our group consists of an administrator, dental nurses, dental hygienists, dentists, health promoters, and a receptionist. Together, we ensure a rewarding and stimulating work environment. For us, joy, engagement, and community are important.

Main duties and responsibilities

At Folktandvården Dalaberg, you will meet patients of all ages with various care needs. As a dental nurse with us, you play an important role in ensuring that patients feel well-treated and secure during their visit. You will utilize your full competence, while the position also requires creativity, empathy, and a service-oriented mindset.

The position includes, among other things:

• Assisting with examinations and treatments
• Working with own patients during prophylaxis treatments, introductions, oral health advice, or adaptation treatments
• Working in the sterile room and reception

Competency requirements and profile

• Trained dental nurse with a MYH (Swedish University of Applied Sciences Authority) approved education
• Interest in both pediatric and adult dentistry
• Swedish language skills equivalent to Swedish upper secondary school or Swedish C1 in both speech and writing
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and smart way
• Ability to give a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do
• Ability to cooperate and relate to other people in a listening manner

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually tailored supervision program during the first period. The supervision program is part of our two-year development program for newly graduated dental nurses.

About the recruitment process

If you are not already employed by us, you will be contacted by recruiters from the HR unit for an interview. After the application period ends, the clinic manager will select from the applicants and invite them to an interview at the clinic. These interviews are scheduled for weeks 27-28.

Folktandvården Västra Götaland Region conducts checks in the suspicion and criminal registers before employment.
