We are now looking for an independent dental nurse for a maternity leave replacement who wants to work at our small clinic with a big heart and understands the importance of good service and welcoming treatment.

Main duties and responsibilities

At Folktandvården Munkedal-Färgelanda, you will meet patients of all ages with various care needs. As a dental nurse with us, you play an important role in ensuring that patients feel well-treated and secure during their visit. You will utilize your entire skill set, while the position also requires creativity, empathy, and a service-oriented mindset. We are a clinic with two service points. Here, experienced staff work alongside those who have just started their careers within Folktandvården.

The position includes, among other things:

• Assisting with examinations and treatments; we also work with examination shifts.
• Working with own patients during prophylaxis treatment, induction, and oral health counseling.
• Work in the sterile room and reception.
• Work with FRAMM - Fluoride, advice, arena, food, and motivation may occur. Here you meet children and young people in school settings, including adapted primary school grades 6-9.

Munkedal-Färgelanda is a clinic with two service points. We have a total of 25 employees looking forward to meeting you. At each service point, there is a present coordinator who supports everyone in their daily work. The position is primarily intended to be based in Färgelanda.

We now need a dental nurse. In Munkedal, we currently have 3 dentists, 1 dental hygienist, and 7 dental nurses. In Färgelanda, we have 3 dentists, 2 hygienists, and 5 dental nurses. Collaboration with other clinics in our immediate area may occur.

Competency requirements and profile

• Trained dental nurse with a MYH (Swedish University of Applied Sciences Authority) approved education.
• Interest in both pediatric and adult dentistry.
• Swedish language skills equivalent to Swedish upper secondary school or Swedish C1 in both speech and writing.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and smart way.
• Ability to give a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do.
• Ability to collaborate and relate to other people in a listening manner.

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually designed mentoring program during your first period. The mentoring program is part of our two-year development program for newly graduated dental nurses.

About the recruitment process

Those who are not already employed by us will be contacted by recruiters from the HR unit for an interview. After the application period ends, the clinic manager selects candidates and invites them for an interview at the clinic. These interviews are scheduled for week 28 and 29.

Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen conducts checks in the suspicion and criminal records register before employment.
