We are now looking for an independent dental nurse who understands the importance of good service and patient care

Main responsibilities and tasks

At Folktandvården Centrum Borås, you will meet patients of all ages with various care needs. As a dental nurse with us, you play a vital role in ensuring that patients feel well-received and secure during their visit. You will utilize your full range of skills, while the role also demands creativity, empathy, and a service-oriented mindset.

The position includes, among other things:

• Assisting with examinations and treatments
• Working with own patients during prophylaxis treatments, introductions, oral health advice, or adaptation treatments
• Working in the sterile room and reception

We are a clinical education clinic (VFU) and host students from the dental hygienist program at the University of Gothenburg. Supervision/assistance of students may also be part of the role. We are also a resource clinic for nitrous oxide sedation.

We also have an emergency care mandate, which means we see all kinds of patients, and we have a health promoter on staff.

Competency requirements and profile

• Trained dental nurse with education accredited by MYH (Swedish Authority for Higher Vocational Education)
• Interest in both pediatric and adult dentistry
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• Ability to independently handle administration
• Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and smart way
• Ability to give a stable and calm impression even when busy
• Ability to collaborate and relate to other people in a listening and empathetic manner
• Contribute to the development of the business by actively participating in the clinic's improvement work

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually tailored supervision program during your first period. The supervision program is part of our two-year development program for newly graduated dental nurses.

About the recruitment process

The first step in the recruitment process is a digital interview with HR. After the application period ends, the clinic manager selects candidates and invites them for an interview at the clinic. These interviews are planned for weeks 27 and 28.

Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen conducts checks in the suspicion and burden registers before employment.
