We are now looking for you who want to work as a kitchen assistant in school kitchens. It is an important and varied job where you contribute to ensuring everything runs smoothly in the kitchen – every day.

As a kitchen assistant, you help the cook with preparations and simpler meal preparation, such as salads, sandwiches, and keeping food warm. You receive deliveries, keep the kitchen tidy, and ensure that hygiene routines are followed.

You work independently but always in close collaboration with the cook and your colleagues. This is a job for you who enjoy a fast pace, service-oriented work, and creating a pleasant dining environment for both children and staff.

Pamoja is the largest provider of substitutes for schools in Sweden. We have agreements with many schools and offer a wide range of different and exciting assignments.

How the job works

You often work on short notice (same morning). You can choose to work a lot or a little, often or rarely. Which tasks you will perform will be agreed upon when you are hired. You are then always personally matched to your assignments (based on your preferences and skills).

You manage the job easily through our smart app. Additionally, you always have personal contact with our support team who assists you when you need it – before, during, and after work. You work securely with a collective agreement. Naturally, you receive a thorough introduction to the job before you start.

What do you need to be able to do?

• You need to have completed upper secondary education and training in food hygiene.
• You need at least 6 months of experience working in a school restaurant or large-scale kitchen, involving preparation and serving. You must also be ready to take responsibility and initiative and be willing to collaborate with others.
• You have great freedom to change your schedule – but you must be ready to work as you commit.
• You need to be able to work at least 2 days a week. (Are you a student? Then you need to be able to work at least 1 day/week).
• You should want to be a good role model for everyone you meet at work!
