Job Description

The responsibilities include overall responsibility for menu planning, purchasing, cooking, and preparation for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. This also includes self-control, service/serving, and cleaning. You ensure that you prepare high-quality meals every day and that a large part of the food is cooked from scratch. You organize and prioritize work efficiently throughout the day and year so that the kitchen becomes a creative and pleasant place for the team you lead. The team also includes a meal assistant and a cook.

The Challenges

Work in the kitchen at Frötuna School can be more intense during parts of the day than others, and good ability to lead both yourself and others is a prerequisite. Although the kitchen equipment is updated to match the number of portions, it can be cramped in some tasks. The kitchen space requires good planning regarding, among other things, ordering and storage.

Qualifications

You have at least a three-year upper secondary education; a large-scale kitchen and cook education or equivalent. You have experience working in a large-scale kitchen or preschool kitchen. You have good knowledge of special diets and adapted food. Knowledge of ADHD/Autism Spectrum Disorder (NPF) is a prerequisite. You master Swedish in speech and writing. We want you to be service-oriented and have good cooperation and communication skills, which is shown in the willingness to cooperate not only in the kitchen but also with all the school's students and staff.

You should be able to perform tasks independently, take initiative, and be flexible. Great importance is attached to personal suitability. You can and are used to handling office packages, digital meetings in various forms, planning meals, handling orders, and following up on the economy digitally.

With reference to the Act (2000:873) on register control of personnel in preschool activities, school, and school-age childcare, we request an extract from the criminal record at employment at Frötuna School. You obtain the extract from the police, Forms – school or preschool | Police Authority (polisen.se). The extract must be presented upon employment.

About the Workplace

Frötuna School is a grades F-6 school with approx. 250 students and 40 staff. It is the small school that has grown in recent years. Even though we have become more numerous, the relationships between both staff and students are close. We also work systematically with recess activities, an important part of the school's safety work.

For this role, the starting salary is normally between 30,000 - 34,000 SEK depending on experience and competence.
