About the position

In the role of Service Technician, you will work with the service and maintenance of ASSA ABLOY’s entrance solutions at our customers’ sites. The work involves installation, repairs, and maintenance, where you contribute to ensuring that the customer’s specific needs are met. Your daily work covers everything from preventive service to urgent repairs and technical improvements.

A significant part of your work will involve managing and developing customer relationships, while working closely with experienced colleagues in service, sales, and technical support. As a Service Technician, you have the opportunity to combine technical service work with customer interaction in a secure and stable company. You will be part of a team with other technicians who provide support and assistance on your journey with us at ASSA ABLOY. Working hours are typically Monday–Friday, 07:00–15:30, with occasional on-call duties. The position is home-based, and a company car is provided according to current policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently plan and execute service assignments.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on automatic entrance solutions.
  • Provide price quotes for spare parts and upgrades in consultation with the Service Manager.
  • Document and report completed work in internal systems and to the customer.
  • Identify customer needs and suggest improvements, upgrades, and additional services.

We also value your ability to build good relationships, as you will have a role with many contact points and significant customer interaction. You take full responsibility for your working time, and by understanding the big picture, you can deliver the best possible customer experience. No two days are alike, so a good ability to be flexible and reprioritize when necessary is required.

Your geographical area is Region South, with Malmö as the main city. Longer car trips may occur.

We believe you:

  • Have good knowledge of our products, our market, and our competitors.
  • Have basic knowledge of mechanics and low voltage. Experience with troubleshooting and repair is a plus.
  • Fluently speak and write Swedish and have basic knowledge of English.
  • Hold a valid B-driver’s license (mandatory).
  • Are accustomed to working with digital tools (e.g., MS Office). Knowledge of planning tools such as FMP360 or similar is a plus.
