Welcome to the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic in Norrköping!

We are part of the Psychiatry Centre in Region Östergötland. The clinic's operations are primarily conducted at a unified outpatient clinic for children and adolescents under 18 years of age and their families in the municipalities of Norrköping, Finspång, Söderköping, and Valdemarsvik.

We see patients for both planned treatment and acute assessment. The most common conditions among our patients are depression, anxiety disorders, as well as behavioral and concentration difficulties.

Job Description

As an occupational therapist at the clinic, you will work with the assessment, support, and treatment of psychiatric conditions requiring specialist psychiatric care. You will primarily meet with families where the child has difficulties within the neuropsychiatric area. You will work with families, meet with children, adolescents, and parents, and collaborate with schools, the Support and Service Scheme (LSS), and social services.

You will be placed in one of our treatment and investigation teams where you collaborate with several different professional categories. The clinic conducts various forms of group activities, several of which are led by occupational therapists.

Within the clinic, there are opportunities for in-depth knowledge through mentorship, teamwork, supervision, and internal training.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist. Experience in child psychiatric work at a specialist level is meritorious. You should be well acquainted with how difficulties related to neuropsychiatric disabilities affect daily life, as well as have knowledge and experience in providing support based on evidence-based strategies for these conditions. It is also meritorious if you have conducted group therapy directed towards children, adolescents, and parents.

You plan, organize, and prioritize work in an effective way and are simultaneously adaptable to changed circumstances. You listen and communicate in a clear and constructive manner and have good pedagogical skills. The work places high demands on personal maturity and flexibility. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
