The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic, with its approximately 150 employees, is currently in an exciting phase of development where we together have the opportunity to influence and shape the future of child psychiatry.

What we offer

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic (BUP) within the Center for Psychiatry is a unit serving children from 0 to 18 years of age. The clinic's overarching goal is to investigate, diagnose, treat, and prevent mental illness that hinders personal functioning, growth, and maturity. The core operations of the clinic consist of outpatient, intermediate, and inpatient care, as well as several subspecialized units such as the trauma clinic Elephant, the parent-infant unit Hagadal, and Barnahus.

We are a university-affiliated unit, which means that clinical research and education, as well as knowledge application and dissemination for the development of healthcare, are also part of our core activities. Improvement and development work is part of our daily routine, and we also conduct teaching and research. We have research leaders, professors, and a responsible psychologist (PLA) in the unit.

Job Description

As a psychologist at the BUP clinic, the basic tasks include investigation, assessment, and treatment work with children and adolescents with various types of psychiatric difficulties, such as depression, anxiety issues, or neuropsychiatric disabilities. As a psychologist, you work evidence-based and follow the national guidelines relevant to our field. There is ongoing development work to integrate national clinical guidelines into practice.

Another important part of the job is collaborating with other healthcare providers and the network surrounding children and adolescents. There are good opportunities for further psychotherapeutic education or specialization. Teamwork is central, and there are many opportunities to influence the operations through knowledge and method development.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist. Specialist training or psychotherapeutic further education in CBT as well as DBT is meritorious, as is experience in treatment work with children, adolescents, and families. It is also meritorious if you have experience in assessment, diagnostics, and investigative work.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability, such as good teamwork skills, stability, and flexibility. It is a plus if you are curious to learn and willing to try new things, and have the ability to work both independently and in a team.
