The Speech-Language Pathology Clinic in Linköping is part of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Linköping University Hospital. We work with individuals who have voice disorders, gender dysphoria, tumors in the oral cavity and pharynx, hearing impairments, language and speech disorders, dyslexia, dyscalculia, LKG (speech and language impairment), stuttering, oral motor difficulties, and dysphagia.

The Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Linköping University Hospital (US), Vrinnevi Hospital (ViN) in Norrköping, and Motala Hospital (LiM) are responsible for all healthcare in the region within the otorhinolaryngology specialty. As a university department, we have three main assignments: to provide specialized care, to teach, and to conduct research and development. The department treats patients from Östergötland but also provides specialized care to patients from the regions of Kalmar and Jönköping.

Our operations include surgery and outpatient care in Linköping and Norrköping. The department as a whole consists of an inpatient ward, outpatient clinics, hearing care clinics, a translation center, speech-language pathology services, and a secretariat. The department comprises approximately 240 employees.

Job Description

Region Östergötland has a mandate within National Highly Specialized Care (NHV) for gender dysphoria, and we now need to strengthen our team of speech-language pathologists in this area. Part of the position will involve you independently investigating and treating patients with gender dysphoria. The remaining parts of the position are primarily within the diagnostic areas of voice and dysphagia.

About You

You are a licensed speech-language pathologist and have a genuine interest in gender dysphoria and experience working with voice difficulties. Furthermore, experience and knowledge of FUS (Functional Investigation of Speech, Language, and Hearing) is meritorious.

You have a genuine interest in improving patients' quality of life, and you have good communication skills and can adapt your treatment methods to the patient's individual needs.
