The Habilitation Centre is a county-wide clinic with operations in Norrköping, Linköping, and Motala, employing approximately 120 staff members. We are a specialized unit offering habilitation services to children, young people, and adults, as well as their relatives and networks. We work in multiprofessional teams based on the type of intervention, age, and disability. Our target groups are primarily individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or physical disabilities.

Our interventions consist of assessment, evaluation, treatment, as well as advice and support provided individually and in groups. Habilitation services provide a qualitative complement to other healthcare services and general societal support.

Job Description

We are looking for a registered nurse for the Habilitation Centre in Norrköping. This is an expanded position based in Norrköping, with team assignments in Linköping and potentially Motala. The role may change based on needs, and there is an opportunity to participate in the development of the position.

You will be part of multiprofessional teams, contributing medical expertise and experience. You will collaborate actively with doctors staffing the habilitation center, as well as with other clinics and municipalities. You will work independently and in teams to provide interventions for patients and their relatives/networks. Interventions include providing advice on disabilities and their consequences regarding areas such as sleep, nutrition, gastrointestinal health, pain, and growth from a medical perspective. This often involves coordinating care for the patient. Interventions are provided during individual visits or in groups, sometimes in collaboration with other professional groups.

All employees participate in operational and quality development work. The position involves daytime hours, Monday to Friday. The role may require travel, and a valid driver's license is required.

About You

We are looking for a registered nurse with a few years of experience. Specialist education in areas relevant to our target group is an advantage.

We would like you to have an interest and experience in working with children with disabilities and experience in teamwork.

As you will be in constant dialogue with patients, relatives, and colleagues, good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.

You are a secure and stable person with good collaboration skills and the ability to distinguish between personal and professional matters. You have an easy approach to meeting people "where they are" and can communicate clearly. You are engaged and interested in development work, take initiative, and take responsibility for your tasks. Since habilitation work is based on teamwork, being a good team player is essential. However, you must also be able to work independently and make your own decisions based on your profession. You express yourself well in speech and writing and see opportunities in a changing organization. Personal suitability and maturity are highly valued.
