Who are we?
With our approximately 3,000 employees, the Care and Social Services Department is the municipality's second-largest office. Our main task is to meet the needs for support, care, and social services for people at different stages of life. We are also responsible for providing food to preschools, schools, and the operations of the Care and Social Services Department.
We work with a user-oriented approach where the work is driven and based on the user's needs. Together, we are responsible for leading the operations towards set goals and creating a meaningful and secure daily life for everyone in need of our help. Here, you have the opportunity to take responsibility and develop both as an employee and as a person.
Bryggaregatan is located in central Norrköping and is a special housing facility focused on dementia, with 26 apartments distributed across two units. The operations are run from a 24-hour perspective, seven days a week, year-round.
Your responsibilities
As a nursing assistant here, you support and help residents with personal care, meals, activities, and exercise.
Your responsibilities also include documentation, contact person duties, creating implementation plans, follow-ups, medication management, as well as the maintenance of apartments and common areas.
You work in close collaboration with your colleagues, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. Together, you ensure that those living with us are doing well and receive the help and support they desire and need. The goal is always to give the user the opportunity to continue living an active life with a meaningful daily routine.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant with experience working in healthcare. If you have knowledge of behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) as well as experience in dementia care, we see this as a positive asset. We want you to have a genuine interest in working with the elderly, where you are attentive and empathetic in your interactions.
You adapt your communication based on the person you meet and put the user's needs at the center. You contribute a positive attitude to the work group and share knowledge and information with your colleagues. Since we work with people, we see that you thrive in an operation with natural fluctuations in pace during the workday and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.
