We are looking for a Test/Verification Engineer for a company in Jönköping. Start date is August 3rd, with an initial 5-month fixed-term contract - with the possibility of extension thereafter. This role is onsite in Jönköping with the possibility to work remotely 1 day per week.

Assignment Description

In this role, you work with testing and verification of handheld, petrol-driven products such as grass trimmers, brushcutters, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, and chainsaws. The position is broad and gives you influence across large parts of the product development cycle.

You are involved from planning and setting up tests to executing, analyzing, and following up on results, ensuring that products meet performance, functionality, and quality requirements before they reach the user.

The Test Engineer is responsible for testing and verification of our handheld gasoline-powered LME products (grass trimmers, brush cutters, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, and chainsaws).

Your primary responsibility will be to perform durability and functional testing.

You will also be responsible for coordinating with related functions, such as specialist teams involved in various projects. In addition, you will work on developing test methods and measurement system analyses, as well as supporting other R&D activities.

Tasks

• Mechanical, functional, and performance testing, as well as developing and improving test methods and measurement techniques

• Verifying and documenting technical performance in different phases of product development

• Close collaboration with design engineers, project teams, and other R&D functions – often acting as a coordinating link between different technical specialists

• Reporting test results

As a Test Engineer, your role is to ensure that our products are durable and reliable for use by our customers. Your responsibilities include hands-on mechanical work with products, conducting long-term durability testing and field testing, statistical analysis, measurement system analysis, and the development of test methods and data collection procedures.

You will also be responsible for measurement and verification activities, as well as the design and construction of fixtures and test rigs. In addition, you will report on product technical performance and maintain technical documentation.

Field testing is another important aspect of this role.

Required skills

• Have a technical education, for example within mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or electrical engineering – or have gained equivalent technical competence through professional experience

• Are fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written

You enjoy combining practical testing with analysis and documentation, and you feel comfortable collaborating with different functions in a development environment. You work in a structured way but can adapt quickly when priorities change.
