Do you want to work with advanced technology and contribute to strengthening Sweden's defense capability? We are now looking for a Measurement Engineer with experience in technical measurements, analysis, and evaluation. Here, you will be a key person in projects that ensure the Swedish Armed Forces receive equipment and technology that works when it really counts.
About the role
As a Measurement Engineer focusing on environmental durability, you will be a key person in FMV's work with verification and validation within Test & Evaluation Land. You will work with advanced technical measurement systems and contribute to developing and ensuring the measurement capabilities that form the basis for some of Sweden's most important defense projects. The role involves planning and conducting measurements in connection with testing activities, as well as evaluating, analyzing, and reporting results. You are responsible for ensuring that measurement systems and equipment are always calibrated and functional, and you serve as support for clients in the selection of measurement methods and standards.
In addition, you participate in the unit's development work, contributing to improving both measurement and evaluation methods. As a Measurement Engineer, you also contribute to managing test system resources and performing operation and maintenance of equipment.
You will become part of a knowledge-intensive team with experts in measurement technology, testing, and environmental conditions, where you together drive the development of future testing capacity.
The position is located in Karlsborg. Travel and duty at other locations may be included in the role.
About you
We are looking for you who have technical education at least at the upper secondary level or equivalent competence acquired in other ways. You also have current and relevant work experience in measurement technology, analysis, evaluation, and report writing. To succeed in the role, you also have experience in practical and technical problem-solving and hold a B driver's license.
It is meritorious if you have experience in controlling cooling and heating systems or alternatively experience working with X-ray facilities. We would like you to have experience in measurement technology or control and regulation equipment, as well as knowledge of IT network operation. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of CAD and 3D printers or industrial X-ray. It is also meritorious, but not a requirement, if you have relevant post-secondary education.
