Do you want to work in an exciting and developmental environment where you play a key role in ensuring material flows for the future development of buses? We are now looking for a Material Controller for our client within the automotive industry in Arendal.

The position is a consulting assignment starting immediately, initially for one year with good opportunities for extension.

About the role

As a Material Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring that the right materials are in place at the right time. You will work closely with project teams, suppliers, and internal operations to support both the construction of test buses and the operation of workshops and other facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Purchasing and ordering materials according to operational needs
• Handling and following up on invoices
• Monitoring deliveries and ensuring materials arrive as planned
• Collaborating with project teams to ensure efficient material flows
• Working with inventory management and tracking in ERP systems
• Contributing to improvements in processes and working methods

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Good knowledge of ERP systems, such as SAP.
• Good proficiency in Excel.

Additional qualifications

• Previous experience in material handling, logistics, or supply chain
• Experience from the automotive industry
• Knowledge of vehicle-related processes and production environments
• Experience with automation through scripting, AI agents, or other data processing tools
