About the role
We are currently looking for a Material Planner for an exciting assignment with our client in the automotive industry in Gothenburg. In this role, you will support the organization and its various facilities by ensuring material availability and handling invoices. You will be responsible for following up on deliveries and working closely with the project team to ensure materials are in place on time.

The position is a full-time consultancy role initially lasting one year, with good opportunities for extension for the right person. The work takes place during daytime hours on-site in Gothenburg, with a planned start date of July 1, 2026.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and ensure material availability in line with production needs
  • Place and follow up purchase orders with suppliers
  • Ensure deliveries are made on time, in the correct quantity and quality
  • Monitor inventory levels and actively work to optimize material flows
  • Follow up on deviations and contribute to continuous improvement work
  • Participate in meetings and collaborate with functions within purchasing, logistics, and production

About you
To thrive and perform in this role, we see that you are structured, engaged, and flexible, with the ability to handle a dynamic and changing work environment. You have good communication skills, enjoy collaborating with others, and are motivated by problem-solving and new challenges. If you have experience from the automotive industry and a good understanding of its processes, we consider this a great advantage. Knowledge and interest in automation, such as scripting, AI agents, or other data-driven tools, are also valued.

Qualifications:

  • Academic education in engineering, Supply Chain Management, logistics, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), as well as good knowledge of Excel and inventory management tools.
  • A few years of experience in material handling, logistics, or supply chain is highly meritorious.
