Konstfack is Sweden's largest university college of fine arts, design, and crafts. Since 1844, we have educated a wide range of professional groups within these fields, as well as art and craft teachers. The current position is located within the Interior Architecture program at the Department of Design, Interior Architecture and Visual Communication (DIV). At DIV, education and research are conducted within design, interior architecture, and visual communication. The department offers programs at bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels. At the department, artistic practice is combined with critical and society-oriented knowledge development. DIV's research environment is under development, and as a professor, you are expected to actively lead this development for the Interior Architecture program.
Within the subject area of Interior Architecture and Furniture Design, a three-year bachelor's program (180 ECTS credits) and a two-year master's program in spatial design (120 ECTS credits) are offered. Creative and spatial experiments and investigations are combined with furniture design and the creation of prototypes. The education is profession-oriented with theoretical and practical studies located in drawing studios, ateliers, and workshops. The students' artistic development is intertwined with technical, ecological, ethical, as well as societal and market-oriented knowledge.

Employment
The employment is for 60–100 percent of full-time work for a maximum of five years, with the possibility of renewal for an additional maximum of five years. The desired start date is January–April 2027. The work is based at Konstfack with several occasions each work week. Remote work from abroad is not possible. In Sweden, there is a requirement of sufficient financial support for those applying for a work permit. Qualifications and Assessment Criteria
Qualifications and assessment criteria for the employment of teachers are specified in the Higher Education Ordinance and in Konstfack's employment regulations. By "qualifications" is meant the minimum requirements that must be met to be considered for the position. By "assessment criteria" is meant the factors that are assessed and weighted in addition to the qualifications, provided the qualifications are met.

University Pedagogical Education
For work as a professor, associate professor, and lecturer (with an employment period longer than two years), it is required that the employee has completed university pedagogical education at Konstfack or another university, or has acquired equivalent knowledge in another way. An applicant who is otherwise assessed as qualified but lacks university pedagogical education must begin the education (equivalent to 7.5 ECTS credits) to acquire the missing qualification no later than within one year from the start of employment.
