Your Role

Welcome to a wonderful team of eleven people, of which you will be one of three strategic buyers, all located in Kallebäck. We are now primarily looking for you who can take the strategic work to the next level and complement the team with your previous experience in strategic purchasing.

You will work closely with production, product management, product design, and suppliers to adapt requirements and find opportunities to add value to Saab Surveillance regarding quality, cost, and technology. You will also have account responsibility for strategic suppliers, meaning commercial responsibility for securing optimized business solutions.

Your main tasks:

• Negotiate agreements
• Lead large procurements with, among others, Swedish authorities as customers
• Market-test existing category portfolios
• Secure deliveries and provide support during escalations

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a strong business understanding, a drive to improve and challenge our operations with a commercial and analytical approach. You have the ability to think and act strategically to achieve our goals, and since your success is heavily dependent on close collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers, we believe you are a true team player and a good communicator. Above all, you have a strong desire to help strengthen the Swedish defense industry and comply with procurements made with the Swedish state.

You have a relevant academic education at least at the bachelor's level and a few years of work experience in purchasing, economics, and/or supply chain. We consider it an advantage if you have a master's degree.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the security clearance regulations in effect at any given time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
