Your responsibilities

The tasks consist of toxicity analyses on fruit flies as well as concentration determination of toxic substances in fruit flies.

As a doctoral student, you will focus on your doctoral education and the research project you are part of. Your work may also include teaching or participating in other departmental assignments, up to 20 percent of full-time.

Your qualifications

You have completed an advanced degree (master's degree) or completed courses totaling at least 240 higher education credits, of which at least 60 credits are at an advanced level, or have otherwise acquired substantially equivalent knowledge.

We want you to have:

• Experience working with fruit flies
• Knowledge of toxicity analyses on fruit flies
• A master's degree in technical biology where handling of fruit flies is included

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience from in vivo studies of enzyme activity in fruit flies
• Experience of preparing samples from fruit flies for chromatographic studies

Your workplace

You will work at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Division of Chemistry. The Division of Chemistry conducts research as well as undergraduate and graduate education in chemistry.

About the position

The employment is fixed-term for the equivalent of full-time doctoral education for two years. You will initially be employed for one year, and thereafter the employment will be renewed for one year.
