Welcome to the Culture School

In our world, culture is important. We need spaces for culture. Places that provide room for play, creativity, and dreams. Rooms where one can discover, develop, and express oneself. Rooms for imagination! At the Culture School, children and young people between the ages of 6 and 22 have this space. Here they get the opportunity for their own creation in their spare time in one of the Culture School's many subjects within music, singing, theater, musical, dance, circus, art, and media. Through various events, large and small, students can perform in front of an audience. Teaching takes place in our own premises with professional equipment as well as in schools throughout Stockholm.

Are you a solution-focused person with solid knowledge of stage lighting and sound? Do you enjoy collaborating as much as you can lead yourself in a complex role where the creativity of children and young people is at the center? You also have competence in various types of facility issues, caretaker tasks, and experience with various types of purchases. Then you might be the one we are looking for.

Your role

In the role of theater assistant/technician, you will work with lighting and sound for stage productions, scenography/prop manufacturing, and some caretaker functions. You will collaborate with educators, costumers, and participants to jointly create the productions. You will also be responsible for purchasing and installing stage equipment and sound purchases, etc. This also includes various types of transportation and caretaker tasks where you also handle contact with external persons and companies.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• Substantial competence and demonstrated experience with stage lighting and sound.
• Competence and demonstrated experience in stage production.
• Good experience with the Office package.
• Experience working with children and young people.
• Experience with simpler electrical work.
• Category B driver's license is desirable.
• Knowledge of Adobe programs, Q-lab is meritorious.
• Knowledge of Premiere Pro.

Other

An extract from the criminal record will be required upon employment. Evening and weekend work occurs.
