to apply for the job

Are you looking for a new challenge as a psychologist and want to be part of a facility that makes a difference for patients with difficult-to-treat self-harm behavior?

Do you want to work as a DBT therapist and join an interdisciplinary treatment team? Then this position might be right for you! With us, you are offered a job with a strong focus on development, knowledge, evidence, and quality. As we are a growing facility, we are now looking to welcome two psychologists to our fine unit.

The treatment unit, consisting of day care and inpatient care, has the mission to provide national highly specialized care for patients with difficult-to-treat self-harm behavior. The unit is the first of its kind in Region Stockholm and has an active collaboration with other condition units in Sweden. The unit has a national mandate, meaning patients come from all over Sweden via referral. All admissions are planned and time-limited.

Patients are offered intensive DBT treatment; on weekdays, treatment takes place at a day care unit. During other times, coaching of skills and support is provided by specially trained staff on Ward 131 at Danderyd Hospital. On the unit, patients with complex and difficult-to-treat self-harm issues are cared for; common comorbid diagnoses include BPD (EIPS), PTSD, Autism, ADHD, and OCD.

On the unit, patients are offered individualized treatment where the entire care process is based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). All staff are offered training for the assignment and ongoing competence development as well as supervision.

Other tasks included in the unit's mission are to function as a knowledge center, offer supervision, and conduct research.

Job Responsibilities

You will work in our treatment team with assessment and DBT treatment individually and in groups. If needed, other treatment forms may be used, e.g., Prolonged Exposure or Exposure with Response Prevention. Supervision and training of healthcare staff may be expected of you. We have a consultation team every week and external supervision for psychologists.

As the unit is under continued development, methodology development, quality assurance, as well as adaptations and development of materials are also included. Our mission includes developing adapted treatment offerings, where the Skills system (DBT-SS) is intended to start this autumn. We also aim to develop the possibility of offering Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT) in the long term.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist with a CBT profile. Experience working within psychiatry is a requirement; previous experience with the unit's target group and DBT is highly meritorious. We would appreciate it if you have interest and experience in research, conducting supervision, and training staff.

We are looking for you who are a secure and stable person with self-awareness and good judgment, and who dares to be yourself. You have good collaboration skills, are structured, and appreciate working in a team. You have a genuine interest in the target group and can remain calm in emotionally demanding situations. We are looking for you who have an interest in development work and want to contribute with your own creative ideas. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

Conditions:

We are now offering 1 permanent position, full time 100%. A probation period of 6 months may apply.

You will work in an established interdisciplinary team with a clear work method where everyone contributes to the whole. Your workplace will be at Danderyd Hospital, where both Ward 131 and the day care are located.

We offer benefits such as flexible hours, 5000 SEK in fitness allowance, and a fitness hour.

As a new employee with us, you are offered a mentor.

We will conduct interviews continuously during the advertising period and look forward to your application. For questions about the advertised position, contact psychologist Madeleine Magnusson 08-123 681 68. Or unit manager Jessika Klein Exner 08-123 682 89.

Warmly welcome to us!

The position will be filled provided it does not need to be taken for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.
