About the Position

Here, we care for adult patients from across the hospital who require highly specialized and advanced postoperative care and monitoring. Patients come to us after surgery, intervention, or treatment combined with some form of anesthesia (general anesthesia/sedation/local anesthesia).

The ward is open 24/7, seven days a week. Our patients need our level of care for a few hours up to several days. This means that both tasks and work pace are very varied, which will give you in-depth and broad competence. Here, you will work together with other nurses, assistant nurses, doctors, and physiotherapists.

The position contributes to our 24/7 operations by working 2 weekend shifts per month.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Swedish nursing license
  • At least three years of experience in emergency care with a surgical focus or alternatively intermediate care

Merits:

  • Specialist education in anesthesia/intensive care, emergency care, or surgery

Department of Perioperative Medicine and Intensive Care

The Department of Perioperative Medicine and Intensive Care is the hospital's consolidated resource for anesthesia, surgery, pre- and postoperative care, as well as intensive care for adults. We are also responsible for hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO), highly specialized pain care, and the sterile technology units. You can read more about us here.
