On behalf of our client, we are currently looking for a Senior Windows Technician / System Administrator who wants to work in a technically advanced and security-critical IT environment. Here you will have the opportunity to combine operational support with development and improvement work, while becoming an important part of an experienced team working with modern Windows platforms and infrastructure.

About the role

Our client is in an intense development phase where special and separate IT environments are being further developed within their own organization. As a senior specialist, you will become part of a delivery team where you are responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, and further development of Windows-based operating systems, virtualization platforms, and associated support systems.

The role involves both system administration and technical development with significant personal responsibility. You will work closely with the business and contribute with solution proposals, technical concepts, and improvement ideas to create a stable, secure, and future-proof IT environment. Smaller projects and change initiatives are also included in the assignment.

Your responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and further develop Windows-based server and client environments.
• Be responsible for daily operations, including patching, updates, version control, and troubleshooting.
• Handle incidents, orders, and advanced support within L2 and L3.
• Automate, configure, and upgrade Windows environments as well as Active Directory and Group Policy (GPO).
• Integrate various Windows applications and systems.
• Work with virtualization platforms and contribute to their development and maintenance.
• Develop solution proposals, technical concepts, and improvements within infrastructure and system administration.
• Participate in smaller projects and technical evaluations, and contribute to secure and efficient IT operations.
• Collaborate with other specialists within IT, infrastructure, and security in an environment with high demands on quality and availability.

We are looking for you who

Have several years of experience as a Windows Technician, System Administrator, or Infrastructure Technician in larger IT environments.

We would like you to be analytical, solution-oriented, and proactive with good ability to prioritize and collaborate. You thrive in combining operational support with development and continuous improvements.

Experience with:

• Windows-based operating systems and associated support systems.
• Active Directory.
• GPO (Group Policy).
• Administration of Microsoft environments.
• Advanced troubleshooting and support in virtual environments.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious skills

• Experience with cyber security and compliance-related issues.
• Active Directory and Entra ID.
• Client management and patch management.
• Networking and IT infrastructure in larger organizations.
• Security features such as MFA, hardening, logging, and Zero Trust.
• Standardized cloud services and modern IT environments.
