Job Description

We are looking for a tester with a focus on performance testing to join a team responsible for the development, testing, and maintenance of business-critical and transaction-intensive systems. This assignment is part of a larger technology transition where modern, cloud-adapted platforms are being established to meet future requirements for performance, availability, stability, and scalability.

In this role, you will work closely with the development teams and contribute to establishing, further developing, and executing performance testing for microservice-based systems. The focus is on verifying system behavior under realistic load, identifying bottlenecks and risks, and contributing with analyses and recommendations that strengthen the robustness and scalability of the services.

You will become a key part of the work to ensure that new and existing services maintain high quality before going live, while also contributing to developing the organization's capabilities in performance testing and quality assurance in modern system environments.

Responsibilities

• Planning, design, and execution of performance, load, and stress tests for TX microservices
• Development and maintenance of automated performance tests
• Analysis of response times, resource utilization, scalability, and system behavior under load
• Identification and documentation of bottlenecks, performance issues, and optimization opportunities
• Collaboration with developers, testers, and platform engineers to analyze and resolve identified issues
• Contribute to integrating performance testing into existing CI/CD pipelines
• Evaluate how services are affected during migration and adaptation to the new platform
• Contribute to the development of workflows, methods, and tools within performance testing

Required Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of documented experience in performance or load testing of distributed systems
• Experience in performance testing of microservice-based systems
• Experience in analyzing and interpreting performance data, as well as identifying bottlenecks
• Experience in automation and script development, e.g., in Python

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience from transaction-intensive systems with high demands on availability and response times
• Experience with Kubernetes in production environments
• Experience in development or debugging in C++ and/or Rust
• Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with observability and monitoring, e.g., Grafana and OpenTelemetry
• Experience with cloud or cloud-adapted platforms
• Experience with automated performance and load testing using tools such as Locust, k6, Gatling, JMeter, or similar
• Experience with TestKube
