We are looking for two teaching assistants for a fixed-term position at the School of Business, Economics and Law (Handelshögskolan).

Background

Economics is one of four subjects within the School of Business. We are accredited by AACSB, the largest global accrediting body and network for business schools. Accreditation serves as a quality seal and influences the ranking of our operations. Research in Economics at Örebro University focuses primarily on empirical studies of policy-related problems. The Economics department offers educational programs at both undergraduate and advanced levels and maintains close collaboration with Business Administration and Statistics.

Responsibilities

The duties may vary but include, for example, providing study guidance to students, conducting group lessons and problem-solving sessions, course development, creating and processing course materials, and offering methodological support to students. In addition to these duties, teaching assistants are expected to pursue their own studies.

Qualifications

To be eligible for the position of teaching assistant, you must be admitted to a program at the undergraduate or advanced level. Furthermore, we prefer candidates who have studied Economics at least at the bachelor's level.

We are looking for someone who has shown an interest in educational and student issues during their studies. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and seek individuals who can work independently, have good teamwork skills, are service-oriented, and can prioritize tasks effectively. You must be able to teach in Swedish. Previous experience as a teaching assistant is highly valued.

Information

The position is approximately 18% during the autumn term of 2026, i.e., from 2026-09-01 to 2027-01-15. Salary is paid in accordance with the local collective agreement.

Teaching assistants are employed for one year at a time. The total employment period for a teaching assistant may not exceed three years.
