At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of the great societal challenges of our time – migration. In total, we are about 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!
We are looking for decision-makers for Administrative Process Unit 1 in Boden. Here, you will work with current societal issues that are influenced by what is happening in our surroundings. Issues that touch and engage. We offer a dynamic work environment where continuous improvements and the meeting with people are in focus.
What does a decision-maker do?
As a decision-maker, you support and develop your colleagues in legal application, substantive issues, and investigative methodology. You identify and analyze areas for development and draw up improvement proposals. On behalf of the unit, you acquire and maintain knowledge and monitor standards, guidelines, and practice.
You process, investigate, and decide on cases with the support of laws and regulations. The decisions you make have legal effect for individuals and affect their right to benefits, rights, and obligations. You handle appeals and follow up on cases in connection with case preparations to ensure a high legal quality. The role may also include presenting the Migration Agency's case in writing during court review of alien cases. The duties include making confidentiality assessments before information is disclosed and administering files and documents in cases. You also work with guiding and providing service to persons who have a case at the Migration Agency and to other stakeholders who have questions of various kinds.
The position also includes work within screening and initial processing. Here, initial measures regarding applications for international protection are taken, such as registration, initial interviews, and deciding which process the case should be distributed to. The work also includes working with the unit's on-call operations.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have a good understanding of how humans absorb knowledge and people's different prerequisites. You are clear and adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient. You have good cooperation skills, are receptive, and are constructive in your approach. Furthermore, you are meticulous and place great importance on meeting goals and quality standards. You take responsibility for your tasks and structure your work independently. You also have the ability to tackle complex questions and analyze a lot of information to arrive at a solution.
