About the role

As an Address Setter with us, you will have the opportunity to shape and enhance environments by creating names for streets, addresses, and places. The work consists partly of ongoing tasks where you are delegated to assign street numbering, and partly of creating names for completely new streets or roads that lack them. You will work with:

• Preparing background material, investigations, and proposals for decisions regarding address and naming issues.
• Researching older names of places and in the various minority languages used within the municipality.
• Consulting with property owners, authorities, municipal operations, and other interested parties.
• Registering, updating, and quality-assuring address and place information in the municipality's systems.

The role involves independent and varied work with many contacts, where you collaborate closely with colleagues within urban planning. At our office, you will become part of an engaged urban planning department with short decision-making paths, significant personal responsibility, and the opportunity to contribute to the development of a municipality in constant change.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are confident, experienced, and curious – someone accustomed to developing and driving processes forward. We believe you have:

• Relevant university education, e.g., in social sciences, history, or linguistics
• Documented experience in address setting or similar issues
• Good ability to apply legislation, regulations, and recommendations
• Experience collaborating with many actors and building trusting relationships
• Ability to work independently, structured, and solution-oriented

If you have previously worked in an address setting role and/or within a politically governed organization, we consider this a merit.
