At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of the great societal challenges of our time – migration. In total, there are about 6,000 of us here, and we have an unusually important job!

We are looking for a migration case officer for Administration Process Unit 1 in Boden. Here, you will work with current societal issues influenced by what is happening in our surroundings. Issues that touch and engage. We offer a dynamic environment characterized by interaction with people and continuous learning.

What does a migration case officer do?

As a migration case officer, you work with processing, investigating, deciding, and preparing proposal decisions for various types of cases. The decisions have legal effect for individuals and affect their right to benefits, rights, and obligations. In addition, you work with administration where you handle files and documents that have been received or created in a case. In your role, you meet and talk with people who have a case at the Migration Agency and other stakeholders. The conversations can be about notifying of decisions or informing about the Migration Agency's processes, as well as guiding and providing service. You identify and handle any special needs of individuals and, where applicable, hold conversations with adults and children in vulnerable situations.

The position also includes work within the screening and initial process. Here, the initial measures regarding applications for international protection are taken, such as registration, initial interviews, and deciding which process the case should be assigned to. The work also includes working with the unit's on-call service.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have good collaboration skills, are receptive, and are constructive in your approach. You are clear in your communication and ensure that the message gets through and that expectations are clear for all parties involved. Furthermore, you are structured and can independently plan and organize the work in an effective way towards set goals and deadlines. You are flexible and easily adapt and change your perspective and attitude when circumstances change.

In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and a high level of security and confidentiality awareness.

You who apply have

  • An academic education of at least 120 hp with a legal, social science, or behavioral science focus, or other education combined with current and relevant experience for the role
  • Knowledge of administrative law cases
  • Experience in work requiring good service and professional treatment
  • Good communication skills and express yourself well verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
  • Good knowledge of the Office package

It is meritorious if you have

  • Current experience of working with administrative law cases
  • Experience in processing migration cases

Information

Employment type: Permanent with probationary period

Working hours: Office hours with possible on-call duty

Location: Boden

Start date: As soon as possible according to agreement
