Functional safety is a cross-disciplinary field that contributes to the development of safer electronic products for our society. You will be part of our Functional Safety team, working in cross-functional teams focused on functional safety for our customers. The role involves a holistic perspective where you understand both system requirements and system design. In the team, we support each other and develop our knowledge together. Our customers are found in manufacturing industries such as energy, defense, and the automotive industry. You will work in varying projects and participate in various competence initiatives during your career at Knightec Group. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and improve safety concepts and processes: ensure that processes for embedded systems are compliant, safe, and user-friendly.
  • Work in cross-functional teams in projects within functional safety.
  • Develop new processes and safety concepts and train organizations.
  • Help our customers achieve optimized compliance with functional safety.

Some assignments may be subject to defense secrecy, which means that a successful security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is quality-conscious and thrives in working in regulated environments. We also look for:

  • An engineering degree in electronics or equivalent.
  • A strong interest in process development, working methods, and functional safety.
  • Experience from a similar role in the manufacturing industry, with preference given to experience in the energy or defense sectors.
  • Process knowledge: ASPICE, V-Model.
  • ISO 26262.
  • Safety Analysis / Risk Management: HARA (Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment), FMEA, FMEDA, defining Safety Goals, ASIL classification, and developing Safety Concepts/Cases.
  • Experience in verification or validation of software or embedded systems according to applicable standards.
  • Good understanding of model-based system development and requirements-based product development.
  • Fluent communication skills in Swedish and English.

In addition to playing a crucial role in shaping the future, you will have great flexibility to shape your role and focus on the parts you find most interesting. You will have a personal development plan, and we will help you build your career through close collaboration and teamwork – giving you the opportunity to work and learn alongside some of the most competent professionals in the industry.
