About the Role

We are looking for a First-Line Manager for the Women's Clinic's 24/7 care; maternity/neo-natal/gynecology. This position is one of four positions that collaborate closely regarding 24/7 care. The role focuses primarily on maternity services but also includes neo-natal care, where responsibility for developing operations and implementing our new working methods is a major part of your assignment. Alongside you are three other managers who together work for a unified women's health care where the patient is at the center, and where employees are competent, have opportunities for development, thrive, and want to work.

The Women's Clinic consists of: 24/7 operations; maternity and neo-natal/gynecology wards, as well as outpatient services; neo-natal clinic, postpartum clinic, specialist maternal care, gynecological clinics in Falun and Mora, and counseling services. We perform gynecological surgeries at C-op, DKF, as well as at our gynecological clinics. In total, approximately 270 people work within women's health care. Approximately 2,300 babies are born per year in Falun. The Women's Clinic in Dalarna is a well-functioning clinic with good staffing, good cooperation between professions, and high medical competence with excellent results in national comparisons.

Responsibilities

As a First-Line Manager, you are part of the Women's Clinic's management group together with the Operations Manager and other managers within the department. You will also become part of the management group for maternity, neo-natal, and gynecology, where four first-line managers work in close collaboration. Leadership is based on shared responsibility for operations, working environment, economy, and development, while each manager has their own areas of responsibility and focus. This role places special emphasis on quality development, patient safety, operational development, improvement work, and implementation.

The role requires a good ability to lead change, create engagement, and build cooperation across operational boundaries and between different professions. You need to thrive in a leadership style characterized by dialogue, trust, and close collaboration with fellow managers to drive the operations forward together.

To create good conditions for the assignment, support is offered through induction, management training, and mentoring.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Certified Midwife
  • Experience in personnel management, coordination, or other leadership functions.
  • Experience in change and development work.
  • Experience in working with working environment, patient safety, and quality development.
  • Completed leadership training or other relevant education in leadership.

Merits:
