Unit Manager for Municipal Rehabilitation – Lead the Future of Care

Borlänge Municipality is now seeking a Unit Manager for Municipal Rehabilitation who wants to develop and strengthen the future of rehabilitation work together with dedicated employees and fellow managers.

Your Role in the Change Process

As a Unit Manager, you will become an important part of the ongoing change process. You will have the opportunity to contribute new perspectives and develop future ways of working within municipal healthcare and rehabilitation, together with qualified and engaged colleagues. You will play a central role in developing collaboration with other operations, creating clear direction, and supporting employees. Together, you will contribute to a good and sustainable work climate.

In addition, you are offered internal training in working environment, rehabilitation, and recruitment. In your assignment, you have support from experienced and competent colleagues within the healthcare operations, as well as support functions within HR, IT, and finance.

About the Care Administration

The Care Administration is the municipality's largest administration and is responsible for providing residents of Borlänge with good care, support, and service. The administration works on behalf of the Care Committee and is responsible for operations within elderly care and LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments).

The operations are now facing an exciting development process with a focus on sustainability, collaboration, and new ways of working, where you will play an important role in driving the work forward towards improved quality.

The rehabilitation operations are currently organized into three groups: Municipal Rehabilitation, Borlänge Rehabilitation, and Education and Competence. Municipal Rehabilitation is responsible for the municipality's special housing, LSS housing (group and service apartments), and housing within social psychiatry. Borlänge Rehabilitation is responsible for ordinary housing, short-term housing, and exchange housing. The Education and Competence group is responsible for transfer training and also includes the municipality's vision and hearing instructors.

Responsibilities

As a Unit Manager, you are part of the HS Leadership Group together with two other HS Unit Managers, as well as specialist functions such as MAR, MAS, developers, and method support, organized under the HS Operations Manager.

In the role, you have personnel responsibility for approximately 37 employees: occupational therapists, physiotherapists/sports therapists, and rehabilitation assistants, as well as one administrator.

You have personnel and budget responsibility for the rehabilitation unit. The assignment also includes overall responsibility for patient safety and contributing to the whole within the healthcare operations area.

The assignment includes leading, developing, and following up on operations with a focus on quality, collaboration, and sustainable working methods. You work actively with change, improvement, and development work to meet the needs of the operations and the future.

Qualifications and Merits

Basic requirements for the position:

  • Licensure as an occupational therapist, physiotherapist/sports therapist
  • Many years of experience in clinical work as a licensed professional within rehabilitation
  • Experience in leadership, preferably from assignments as a Unit Manager or another equivalent leading role
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
  • Category B driver's license
