The Emergency Department in Mora is embarking on an exciting and challenging development journey – and we are now looking for a Unit Manager who wants to lead the department into the future, where engagement, collaboration, and secure leadership make a real difference for staff and patients every day. The Emergency Department in Mora receives acute patients around the clock. The most common patient groups are medicine, surgery, orthopedics, geriatrics, and infectious diseases. In total, approximately 60 employees work at the department.

Selection is made on an ongoing basis. Start date by agreement. Fixed-term managerial appointment with permanent employment in the basic profession.

As Unit Manager, you are responsible for leading, developing, and monitoring the Emergency Department's operations. You work closely with your employees and in collaboration with other managers and functions within the hospital.

The role involves:

• Personnel responsibility for employees within the Emergency Department
• Operational development focusing on quality, work environment, and patient flows
• Budget and result responsibility
• Driving improvement work in an environment where every minute counts
• Creating a culture characterized by security, clarity, and participation

You report to the Operations Manager and are part of the management team.

We are looking for you who are a secure leader with the ability to create structure even when the pace is high.

You have:

• Relevant university education within healthcare or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent
• Experience of leadership, preferably within emergency care or other 24/7 operations
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and build strong teams
• An analytical approach and experience working with follow-up and improvement work
• A communicative and non-hierarchical style that creates trust
