Welcome to Åkershem, a special housing facility with 80 dementia care beds located in Kvarnsveden, Borlänge Municipality. Here, nurses, nursing assistants, care aides, as well as staff from catering and facilities, work together. The facility also hosts a day activity center that assists with peripheral tasks such as the kitchen and storage, contributing to a well-functioning daily routine.

Job Responsibilities
As the Deputy Unit Manager at Åkershem, you are responsible for the ongoing operations of the unit. Together with the Unit Manager, you are responsible for personnel, economy, and operations. The overarching strategic responsibility for the operations lies with the Unit Manager.
You are involved in the planning, follow-up, and development of the operations and contribute to ensuring that the operations are conducted with good quality, efficiency, and in accordance with current legislation and guidelines.
Your duties include mentoring nursing staff and group leaders in their daily work using a coaching approach.
Another important task is to develop working methods and routines to ensure good quality in the care and support we offer to the residents of Borlänge. The position involves significant communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Basic requirements for the position:
- Started or completed higher education in a field that the employer deems relevant for the position
- Experience of working in care and support or healthcare
- Experience of working in a leadership role, e.g., as a group leader, unit manager, or similar
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing

Meritorious qualifications:
- Completed Borlänge Municipality's aspirant program or other leadership training
- Experience with the activity systems Lifecare and/or Heroma
- Experience with dementia care and/or elderly care
Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent.
Working hours: Daytime.
