At Region Dalarna, you will find meaningful work where you can make a difference. Together, we work towards a sustainable Dalarna with development potential in all parts of the county.

About the Role

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) within the Division of Psychiatry and Rehabilitation at Region Dalarna is now seeking a Unit Manager/Coordinator for the new county-wide initiative, Mini-Maria, in Falun and Mora. These are accessible clinics for children and young people up to the age of 21 with risky use, harmful use, or substance dependence, with or without psychiatric comorbidity. Here, you are offered meaningful work with a clear focus on children and young people, with the opportunity to help build a new service from the ground up.

Mini-Maria operates within the framework of a county-wide collaboration between Region Dalarna and the municipalities of Dalarna, with Falu Municipality and Mora Municipality as host municipalities.

We are currently seeking a Unit Manager/Coordinator, and the service is planned to launch in autumn 2026. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to shape working methods, collaboration, and content together with engaged colleagues from both the municipality and the region. The work is characterized by cross-professional teamwork, trust, and collaboration, with good opportunities for continuous professional development as the service grows and evolves.

Mini-Maria is a low-threshold service offering counseling, support, and treatment to children and young people as well as their relatives. The work is based on individual needs and relies on evidence-based methods and national guidelines.

The main clinics in Falun and Mora will have satellite clinics in Avesta and Älvdalen that are staffed regularly. The work takes place in cross-professional teams together with, among others, psychologists, nurses, midwives, and therapists from the municipality.

Responsibilities

The assignment is divided; you will serve as the Unit Manager for the region's staff within the service, but also have a coordination role for the entire service, which includes staff from the municipalities. As Unit Manager/Coordinator, you will work to ensure that the service operates according to the business plan, implementation plan, and established procedures, and together with the staff, identify areas for improvement and propose adjustments to the steering group for Mini-Maria. You will also have overall responsibility for communication with collaborating partners such as BUP, adult outpatient psychiatry, municipalities, relatives, and others.

Responsibilities as Unit Manager

As the Unit Manager for the region's staff, you will be responsible for personnel matters, working environment issues, as well as economy and follow-up. You also have overall responsibility for patient safety within your unit.

Responsibilities as Coordinator

As the Coordinator for the entire Mini-Maria service, your main task is to ensure that different parts of the service function efficiently together. This includes handling communication, planning timeframes, and ensuring that resources are used optimally. You ensure that everyone collaborates, plans interventions, and follows up on the work to achieve the desired results. The Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations of the service for both the region's and the municipality's staff.
