About the Job

As a System Engineer specializing in Windows Server, you will operate, monitor, maintain, and manage servers within your team's area of responsibility. The Infrastructure and Operations unit is currently undergoing changes to meet future needs, both organizationally and within IT operations. Therefore, we are now looking for you who want to further develop our server operations and build up the agency's operational organization to handle larger internal operational tasks in the future.

We are a large IT department with approximately 450 employees, which gives you the opportunity to focus on the issues you are best at, as well as to exchange experiences and competence with other experienced colleagues across all areas.

You will

• Be part of a competent team and have the opportunity to help shape the agency's server operations.
• Operate, maintain, and manage servers within the team's area of responsibility.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot systems in our IT environment.
• Handle incidents to quickly and effectively resolve technical issues and minimize disruptions to operations.
• Optimize and develop systems with a proactive purpose.
• Act as a specialist/expert support within your area of responsibility and participate in various projects.

Weekly on-call duty according to a rotating schedule may be required.

You must have

• An education in IT or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience that we assess as equivalent.
• Several years of current work experience as a system engineer in IT.
• Very good competence in the Windows Server operating system.
• Good knowledge of virtualization solutions, e.g., VMware, Hyper-V.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you also have

• Experience of IT operations in organizations with large technical environments in complex system landscapes.
• Experience/knowledge of scripting and automation within PowerShell.
• Experience of system hardening (e.g., CIS).
• Experience in system administration or application management.
• Experience in handling confidentiality and/or security-classified information.

More Information

The position is permanent with a location in Örebro. Appointment according to agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. An employment with us may involve a security clearance level. A security investigation with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our security-classified tasks, Swedish citizenship is required.
