MT Security Strategist for Region Norrbotten, Luleå

Do you want to help shape the future work with medical technology at a strategic level? Then we can offer you an exciting opportunity here at Region Norrbotten. As an MT Security Strategist, you will become a key person in driving, coordinating, and monitoring the region's medical technology security work. You will collaborate closely with technology, operations, legal, and procurement to ensure that our medical technology systems always meet current requirements, standards, and regulations.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for you who have a relevant higher education or university degree, for example as a biomedical engineer, lawyer, or equivalent, or alternatively other education and experience that the employer considers equivalent. You have several years of experience working with quality assurance, risk management, or management systems. You have experience working systematically with quality and safety issues and are accustomed to collaborating with different functions within an organization. You have good communication and collaboration skills with various departments and professional groups. The position is security-classified, which means Swedish citizenship and a successful security clearance are required.
It is an advantage if you have knowledge of cybersecurity related to medical technology products and networked medical technology, as well as knowledge of EU medical technology regulations (MDR 2017/745). Experience with relevant standards, such as ISO 14971, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485, is also advantageous. Furthermore, experience with NIS2, CER, or regional security protection work, as well as experience working in larger organizations or within the public sector, is viewed positively. Experience with supervision or regulatory work, for example related to the Swedish Medical Products Agency, as well as driving educational initiatives and change management, is also considered advantageous.

What you will work with
In this role, you will drive, develop, and monitor the region's strategic work within medical technology security. You are responsible for ensuring that processes and management systems within medical technology are up-to-date and comply with current legislation and regulations. You will act as an expert in procurements, risk analyses, and in some deviation investigations, contributing your expertise to complex questions related to medical technology security aspects. An important part of the assignment is also to educate and support operations in medical technology security issues and contribute to increased knowledge and compliance within the organization. The role involves participating in national networks within medical technology security and acting as a contact person towards authorities on relevant matters. You also actively contribute to the region's quality assurance and risk management work, as well as the continuous development of methods and routines in the area.

Information about the position
We offer a permanent full-time position, daytime hours. Start date is by agreement. Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
The position is security-classified, which means a security clearance will be conducted according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) and the Security Protection Ordinance (2018:658).
Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreement.
